It took some time, and there was even a break up in there somewhere, but those crazy kids, Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko, are finally going to get married.
Ah! There is so much planning to be done.
ABC News' Lesley Messer reports the 5'2" Nashville actress is now engaged to the 6'6" heavyweight boxing star, giving the world quite a romantic size discrepancy—at least until an NBA player decides to marry an oompa loompa.
The announcement came on Wednesday's episode of Live With Kelly & Michael. As the diminutive Hollywood starlet grabbed a snake that was on her neck, co-host Kelly Ripa noticed the ice on her ring finger.
"I'm sort of distracted, not just by the snake, but there's a very large diamond ring on your ring finger," Ripa noticed. "... I'm not sure if you want to announce anything. ... Does that signify anything, is that a promise of something?"
The two went back and forth until the host flat-out asked if the 24-year-old was engaged, to which the actress stated, "I am."

We will go ahead and ignore Panettiere looking like a small Jake "The Snake" Roberts and instead congratulate her on the big news.
Now before you run to the mailbox for your own Save the Date, note that Panettiere hasn't picked one yet, so you will just have to remain patient.
Seeing her face on the show, it's apparent she is very excited to marry her 37-year-old sports star, so we imagine it will be soon.
The two have had what you might call an on-again, off-again relationship, concluding in this rather expected commitment.
TMZ caught the two in a lip-lock back in March at a Heat game, which came after rumors they had already rekindled their relationship. Prior to that, the two split in 2011.
However, around the same time of their March cuddle session, US Weekly cited a source who proclaimed, "They never fell completely out of touch."
What's that they say about absence and fondness?
We should also note US Weekly mentioned in March the two may have been secretly engaged, so perhaps this all old news to the actress by now.
Either way, sounds like these two can't live without each other, and now Panettiere has a wedding to plan!
