The rough and tumble Tommy "Boom Boom" Coyle (17-2, 7 KO) is eyeing big fights in the near future. Before he can step up in competition, he'll have to face a tough challenge from veteran Argentinian Daniel "Tatu" Brizuela (25-2-2, 8 KO) on Saturday at the Ice Arena in Coyle's hometown of Hull, Yorkshire.
Coyle's IBF international lightweight title will be on the line. He won it in his last bout against John Simpson, which also took place in the Ice Arena. Coyle stopped Simpson in the seventh round in that fight. He'll undoubtedly be looking to make another statement like that in front of his fans.
Brizuela has had only one fight outside of Argentina. It was his last bout against Daud Cino Yordan in July 2013. Brizuela lost a unanimous decision. He'll be hoping his next fight away from home ends better than the first.

The Book on Coyle
Per Matchroom Boxing, Coyle wants to face veteran English lightweight Kevin Mitchell on the undercard of the upcoming rematch between George Groves and Carl Froch. The event is likely to take place in a world football stadium.
Coyle understands how big of an opportunity that could be. He said: "That would be a fantastic fight and one I would be very confident of winning. If I was to beat Kevin, which I am confident that I will, then I could be fighting for a World title and become Hull’s first ever World champion."
At just 24 years old, Coyle is five years Mitchell's junior but far behind him in experience. Mitchell has been fighting professionally since 2003, so that challenge is a substantial one. Boxing guru Dan Anders doesn't think Coyle is ready for Mitchell.
The answer to that question may be answered down the line, but this is another matter Coyle will tend to on Saturday.
The biggest impediment for Coyle against Brizuela might just be keeping his mind from drifting ahead.
The Book on Brizuela
Coyle is aware of what Brizuela brings to the table. He told Matchroom Boxing this about Tatu:
Everybody thinks that being an Argentinian, he is going to be come-forward, tough, aggressive fighter but he is actually a bit of a mover. He is a smart technician, he boxes on the back foot and he has a fantastic jab. I have sat down with my trainer Jamie Moore and we have worked out a game plan to beat him. It is going to be a tough fight, it is a 50/50 fight.
Brizuela is more of a boxer than most fighters from Argentina, but he isn't exactly on Sergio Martinez's level in that regard. He's forced to be a mover because he lacks the power to stand and bang with his foes.
He'll need to use his guile to overcome Coyle's pressure and aggression.
Prediction
Coyle loves to bring pressure, and he's a rugged young fighter. Brizuela lacks the power to discourage Coyle from staying in attack mode. The Argentinian's boxing skills aren't superior enough to Coyle's to out-point him and survive the inspired and motivated youngster.
Coyle will stop Brizuela between the eighth and 10th round to set up a meeting with Mitchell later this year.
