Aside from being regarded as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world by some, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, is a member of the Philippines legislature, the host of a weekly TV game show, and owner of a vegetable business. Outside of all of those things, he is a very devout follower of the Christian faith. After President Barack Obama became the first U.S. president to publicly verbalize his support for gay marriage, Manny Pacquiao has verbally expressed his disgust in the President's support of gay marriage.
During an interview with the National Conservative Examiner, Pacquiao took a highly religious stance in his disagreement with Obama's choice to support gay marriage. He feels as though it is an attack on society's morals and God's will of how people should conduct themselves in the eyes of the wedding altar.
Here's what Pacquiao had to say:
"God only expects man and woman to be together and to be legally married, only if they so are in love with each other. It should not be of the same sex so as to adulterate the altar of matrimony, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah of old."
He then went on to call same-sex marriage "an abomination". He feels as though by supporting same-sex marriage, America is failing its role as being a model of morality for other countries to look up to.
