Judge Denies Mayweather's Early Release From Prison

 

Mayweather's attorneys were present in court June 13th, attempting to get him released early from prison, and be allowed to serve the rest of his 87 day jail sentence under house arrest.  The judge overseeing his case answered with a resounding NO!

His lawyers asked for his release due to being "malnourished and dehydrated" while locked up in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day.  They also tries to point out the fact that his boxing career is in jeapordy not only because of the lack of nutrition he is able to consume while behind bars, but also because they do not have adequate training equipment for him to work out and maintain his sharp boxing reflexes.

The judge wasn't having any parts of Mayweather's complaints from his lawyers and laid the hammer down on him hard, not giving into any of Mayweather's requests when he stated:

"Mayweather's withering condition is self-induced as water is made available to [Floyd] twenty-four hours a day.  [Floyd] chooses not to eat the food provided.  While the training areas and times provided to Floyd may not be consistent with his prior regimen, he is indeed provided sufficient space and time for physical activity if he so chooses."
