Floyd Mayweather's recently signed fighters Yuriorkis Gamboa and Andre Dirrell now have world championship title matches in the works for a November 17 Showtime doubleheader.
Miguel Rivera of Boxing Scene reports that the November 17 fight card will serve as the debut of Gamboa and Dirrell under Mayweather and 50 Cent's TMT (The Money Team) Promotions.
Having previously unified two world championships at featherweight, Gamboa (21-0, 16 KO) will now move up to face IBF super featherweight world champ Juan Carlos Salgado (26-1-1, 16 KO).
Former Super Six participant Dirrell (20-1, 14 KO) will face WBA interim super middleweight world champ Brian Magee (36-4-1, 25 KO).
Gamboa and Dirrell have yet to fight in 2012. These championship fights come at a time when they'll both need to brush the dust off.
These are two very solid opponents for the TMT fighters.
This gives Gamboa and Dirrell the chance to show what each is made of. Impressive performances, especially by knockout, will unlock many doors in their careers.
