Mexican boxing legend Juan Manuel Marquez has written a book about how he defeated eight-division world champ Manny Pacquiao (54-4-2, 38 KO).
According to a report from Salvador Rodriguez for Boxing Scene, the book will be called "Yes, I Beat You Pacquiao," and it won't just focus on his famous trilogy with Pacquiao.
"[This book is about] how I worked to achieve what I have achieved, with character, courage and the desire that must be there to get what you want," Marquez said.
In 2004, Marquez was knocked down three times in the first round of his fight with Pacquiao. He recovered and began to outbox Pacquiao in an amazing come-from-behind effort to earn a draw.
The two fighters rematched four years later. Marquez suffered one knockdown, but rallied to what has been argued as a clear victory only to find Pacquiao awarded the split decision.
Last November, Marquez fought Pacquiao in their third battle. Marquez not only remained on his feet the entire fight, but he was able to make Pacquiao miss and pay for it countless times.
In the end, he came up short again, losing by majority decision.
Marquez is now campaigning for a fourth fight with Pacquiao this Nov. 10.
The first edition of "Yes, I Beat Pacquiao" will have a 5,000 print run.
