Timothy Bradley Says Manny Pacquiao Is Scared of a Rematch
Aug 16th 2012, 06:46

Even after winning a fight almost nobody felt he won, WBO welterweight champion, Timothy Bradley, spoke out Wednesday to the Desert Sun, calling Pacquiao out, as he waits with the rest of the world for the eight-division champ to choose his opponent for November 10.

Bradley (29-0, 12 KOs) feels that the reason why the Pacquiao (54-4-3, 38 KOs) camp is taking so long to make a decision on Pacman's next opponent is that he is scared to fight Bradley when he is not hobbled by injury.

Bradley explained:

To be honest with you, I think a lot of people on that side are scared. He couldn’t knock me out with two peg legs. Me healthy, I’m going to beat him worse

You can't knock Bradley for having confidence that he can beat Pacquiao, but although the judges awarded Bradley the win via a highly controversial split-decision (per ESPN), he really didn't earn the victory.

Calling Pacquiao scared could give Pacman extra motivation to make sure he wins a possible rematch more convincingly than the first time around, making Bradley's confidence backfire on him in the end.

Bradley went on to say, "If Manny wants to do it, let’s do it. It’s been a circus around here. I’ve been sitting around here waiting. I want the fight but he hasn’t decided yet."

Obviously growing anxious as Pacquiao take his time to choose his next opponent, it will be interesting to see how a healthy Bradley will fair against Pacquiao.

Bradley said he injured his left foot in Round 2—which was later found to be fractured—and his right foot in Round 5 (per ESPN), and was only at full strength for the first round of their first bout back in June.

It has been speculated that Pacquiao will choose Bradley as his next opponent rather than a fourth go-round with Juan Manuel Marquez (per the Philippine Star), so we should get to see if Bradley will offer up any more of a fight than he did in his less-than-stellar performance earlier this summer.
