Klitschko vs. Charr: Dr. Steelhammer's Luck Could Run out vs. Undefeated Charr
Sep 8th 2012, 18:53

The highly anticipated fight between Vitali Klitschko and Manuel Charr will take place in Moscow at 5:00 p.m. ET.

The fight will air in the United States at 9:45 p.m. ET on a delayed tape as part of HBO's broadcast, which will also feature the Andre Ward-Chad Dawson fight.

Klitschko's hasn't fought since his February match against Dereck Chisora, and he's possibly contemplating retiring after the fight to focus on his political career, but obviously nothing is confirmed at this point.

Klitschko has an impressive 44-2 career record and has unbelievably won 40 of his 46 matches by knockout.

The 6'7" super heavyweight, often referred to by his nicknames "Dr. Steelhammer" and "Dr. Iron Fist" in reference to his PhD, has put together a remarkable 16-year professional career.

However, with multiple gray hairs surfacing, the 41-year-old will eventually feel his age catch up with him if he continues to fight, which will result in a loss at some point.

The only question is whether or not Charr is the man who will hand him that loss.

The 27-year-old German boxer has youth on his side, not too mention an undefeated record, but his age might be his only advantage.

Charr will have to outsmart a far more experienced and intelligent boxer who is also more physically imposing.

The 6'4" Charr will also have to adjust to playing an opponent who stands three inches taller, which will be a tough thing to compensate for while also trying to overcome Klitschko's strength and experience.

Regardless, Charr is confident enough to believe that he is the better fighter and that he will leave the fight victorious, according to RT.com.

If Klitschko is more focused on retirement and his political career than the match, then Charr's predictions could very well come to fruition.

But regardless of the outcome, the Klitschko-Charr match should be a fine addition to HBO's evening broadcast.
