Yes, Broner certainly seems to be a future star cut directly from the mold of Floyd "Money" Mayweather.
Comparison's for the young brash champion to the current pound-for-pound aren't anything new. Boxing forum's across the Internet have called him "Baby Floyd" for quite some time. However, after disposing of Antonio DeMarco in the eighth round, those comparisons are more legitimate than ever.
Much like Mayweather, Broner is the type of fighter that fans either love or hate. He's not afraid to refer to himself in the third person. He oozes confidence in his interviews and rubs more than a few fans the wrong way.
Whether you love him or hate him, you have to acknowledge he has the skills to back up his confidence.
Broner's detractors have said that he held a distinct size advantage during his time in the super featherweight division. After all, he was stripped of his title because he failed to make weight in a title defense against Vicente Escobedo.
However, with his most recent win against DeMarco, that's a case that can't be argued any more.
