Former light heavyweight Light heavyweight titlist Gabriel Campillo and hot prospect Sergey Kovalev were supposed to meet Sept. 21, but Campillo pulled out with a back injury and Kovalev crushed replacement opponent Lionell Thompson in three rounds. Now Campillo’s back is better and the fight has been rescheduled. Spain’s Campillo (21-4-1, 8 KOs), a southpaw last seen losing a highly controversial decision to titleholder Tavoris Cloud in February, will face Russia’s Kovalev (19-0-1, 17 KOs) on Jan.
