Martinez surgery 'absolutely perfect' Nov 14th 2012, 05:45 Middleweight champion Sergio Martinez was feeling chipper and looking forward to his next title defense on Tuesday, one day after he underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus in his right knee. It was also revealed that Martinez had surgery on an ankle problem as well. Both injuries happened during his decision victory against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Sept. 15 in Las Vegas. Martinez had the surgery in Madrid, Spain, where he used to live.
