J. Perez-Forbes set for Jan. 12 Dec 1st 2012, 18:03 Two weeks ago, Golden Boy Promotions and Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced a deal under which Golden Boy would bring at least four boxing events per year -- for an undisclosed number of years -- to the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. On Saturday, Golden Boy announced the first card at the home of the NHL's Florida Panthers. In the main event of the Jan. 12 card, which will air on Fox Deportes and Fox Sports Net under Golden Boy's deal with Fox, former interim junior welterweight titlist Johan Perez of Venezuela will face long-faded former junior lightweight titlist Steve Forbes.
