New York-area boxing fans have been blessed with a bounty of product to soak in the last couple months, and can enjoy the same in the first part of the New Year. The Theater at Madison Square Garden will host three world championship fights on January 19, as Orlando Salido puts his WBO feather crown up against Mikey Garcia, heavy-handed Gennady Golovkin, who holds the WBA middleweight crown, risks it versus Gabriel Rosado, and Rocky Martinez defends his WBO junior lightweight title against Juan Carlos Burgos.
