Kimbo Slice Engages in Wild Brawl at Latest Boxing Event
Jan 30th 2013, 17:28

Kimbo Slice is still the man.

Despite unrealistically high expectations leading into, and following, his stint on season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter, Slice is still fighting, and he is still finding success.

After deciding he only wanted to throw hands (which we knew all along anyway), Slice entered the world of professional boxing in 2011 and amassed a 6-0 record leading into his Jan. 30 bout against Shane Tilyard

Tilyard, clearly the lesser-known fighter of the two, possessed a shaky 6-6 record going into this fight. However, that did not stop him from hurting Slice early and often.

At the beginning of Round 1, Slice looked faster, sharper and more powerful than Tilyard. That all changed, however, when Tilyard landed a series of big shots that dropped Slice and earned him the knockdown.

For the remainder of the round, both fighters looked gassed. Slice continued picking away, while Tilyard looked for the knockout blow.

Round 2 is when things got really fun.

After getting clipped again early, Slice landed a perfect takedown on Tilyard. Gray Maynard would have approved of this one, folks.

Slice, a man who possesses the wrestling abilities of a starfish, actually executed a nice takedown after being rocked...inside the boxing ring.

You can't make this stuff up.

After his impressive show of grappling skills, Slice ate some more bombs before countering with the night's finishing blow—a Bas Rutten-approved left hook to the body

Crippled and in agonizing pain, Tilyard dropped to the canvas and could not get up in time to continue the fight.

Once again, Slice entertained against a tomato-can opponent, and I could not be happier.

Kimbo, you sir are just too fun to watch.
