Canelo Alvarez Reportedly Issued Arrest Warrant by Police in Mexico

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is scheduled to face Austin Trout in a huge Light Middleweight Championship unification bout on Saturday night, but the fight is suddenly in doubt as a warrant has been issued for Alvarez's arrest.

According to Miguel Rivera of BoxingScene.com, Alvarez and his brother, Juan Ramon Alvarez, are wanted in Mexico due to alleged crimes against boxer Ulises "Archie" Solis in 2011.

Alvarez allegedly attacked Solis on Oct. 25, 2011 and broke his jaw, but Canelo has denied his involvement in the incident and contends that his brother was the one who engaged with Solis.
