It's fight night!
We are live tonight inside The Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas for the huge junior middleweight unification bout between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Austin "No Doubt" Trout.
Both fighters are young, undefeated champions in the prime of their careers, and somebody is likely to see the zero disappear from his record before the night is over.
Alvarez (41-0-1, 30 KO) is the current WBC junior middleweight champion and is considered one of the best prospects in all of boxing. His stock has risen so fast that he has already been linked to a potential superfight with pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather in the fall.
But in his way stands Austin Trout (26-0, 14 KO), who holds the WBA title and has recently developed a knack for beating better-known opponents and derailing potential superfights.
In his last fight Trout walked into a hostile Madison Square Garden and easily defeated Puerto Rican legend Miguel Cotto before his hometown fans and in the process stole his spot in tonight's matchup with Alvarez.
The main event will be televised live on Showtime beginning at 10 p.m. ET, and as always we hope you will stay tuned to us here at Bleacher Report for all your round-by-round scoring, results and analysis!
