Juan Diaz, a former unified lightweight champion, will dust off his boxing gloves Saturday in Corpus Christi, Texas, after a 32-month absence to fight Pipino Cuevas Jr., son of the legendary Mexican fighter. Diaz (35-4, 17 KO), 29, will be trying to get back into the win column after losing his most recent fight, a July 2010 decision to Juan Manuel Marquez. Cuevas (16-9, 14 KO), 33, hasn't had much recent luck in the ring himself. After trying to establish himself as a mixed martial arts fighter early in his career, he turned to boxing at age 25 and won his first 11 fights.
