What to Watch For in Each Fighter
Floyd Mayweather
There are few fighters in the world who can compete with Mayweather on a technical level. He has incredible speed and is always throwing punches with great accuracy to take down his opponent.
However, the important thing to watch for him is how much the time off has affected him. This is his first fight since May 5, 2012 when he defeated Miguel Cotto. Not only should there be some rust, but his conditioning will be tested as this fight continues.
If Guerrero is able to land some powerful punches, it is certain to cause a bigger impact than usual for the champ. You can train all you want, but there is simply no way to replicate the full experience of a prize fight.
Even after a few rounds, the long layoff could come into play late in the bout.
Robert Guerrero
Guerrero has been very impressive in his recent fights, but he has not ended a fight early in a long time. His last five bouts have ended by decision, and his last knockout took place in 2010.
Based on Mayweather's reputation and excellent accuracy on all punches, the popular fighter has a big advantage if this match goes to the judges.
In order to pull off the upset, The Ghost will have to get even more aggressive than he already has been and start getting some more power behind his punches.
If he allows his opponent to dictate the pace of the fight, he will end up with another loss on his record.
