As expected, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Robert Guerrero both made weight on Friday for their welterweight title fight, meaning that all that's left to do is determine a winner Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The welterweight limit was 147 pounds coming in, and both fighters cleared it easily.
In the undercard's featherweight championship fight, both Daniel Ponce de Leon and Abner Mares made weight at 126 pounds, setting the stage for what should be a thrilling, high-stakes matchup on Saturday's pay-per-view slate.
WBC Featherweight Championship
Fighter | Weight |
Abner Mares | 126 pounds |
Daniel Ponce de Leon | 126 pounds |
Neither Abner Mares (25-0-1) nor Daniel Ponce de Leon (44-4) had any trouble making weight for their WBC featherweight title fight in Saturday's undercard.
The defending champion, Ponce de Leon has the experience to send challenger Abner Mares home disappointed this weekend, but if Mares can play to his strengths, landing some devastating body shots, we could see the championship switch hands on Saturday.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. | 146 pounds |
Robert Guerrero | 147 pounds |
Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26 KOs) showed up to Friday's weigh-in looking ripped. He weighed in at 146 pounds, one pound lighter than Robert Guerrero (31-1-1, 18 KOs), who came in at 147 pounds.
The stare down that followed the weigh-in was rather uneventful, with both fighters smiling at each other, flexing and oozing with confidence. Not surprisingly, Guerrero didn't look at all intimidated by Mayweather.
He was all smiles, playing to the crowd in his post-scale interview.
If The Ghost is nervous, we won't know until Saturday night.
Thanks to the lack of action on stage, Los Angeles Lakers star Metta World Peace, who was on hand Friday, stole the show and dominated the Twitter conversation.
There weren't too many takeaways from Friday's weigh-in, as both fighters looked to be in solid shape and not the least bit rattled. There were no punches thrown and overall, there was zero drama outside of the lengthy, hype-building stare down.
Saturday's May Day event on Showtime PPV is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. ET and will feature three undercard fights leading up to the main event, Mayweather vs. Guerrero.
