Finally, the pre-fight hype can come to an end.
On Saturday, the weird dad-versus-dad rivalry will cease, the trash talk will stop and Floyd Mayweather and Robert Guerrero will finally stand toe-to-toe to settle things inside the ring for the WBC welterweight title.
Money (43-0, 26 KO) enters the MGM Grand as the heavy favorite over Guerrero (31-1-1, 18 KO), but this still promises to be a compelling battle with copious amounts of thrilling action.
While Mayweather is often regarded as the best defensive fighter of all time, The Ghost knows that his chances will increase if he gets aggressive and attempts to turn this thing into a brawl.
Let's get it on.

Mayweather's Road
It's been an, um, interesting year for Mayweather.
Shortly after defeating Miguel Cotto for his 43rd straight win, Money reported to the Clark County Detention Center to serve his jail sentence for domestic violence.
He quickly resumed training after being released in early August, but his run-in with the law is not something that Ruben Guerrero—Robert's father—has forgotten (WARNING: Following video has explicit language):
All in all, Mayweather is now an entire calendar year removed from his last professional fight, and he hasn't been void of distractions during that time. While there's no doubt that he's one of the greatest fighters to put on the gloves, many wonder if he will face rust or be a step slower in Saturday's fight.
I'm guessing (and hoping) not—an in-shape Mayweather is a joy to watch.
Guerrero's Road
It wasn't long ago that The Ghost was a relatively unknown boxer on the national scale, but it's safe to say that has quickly changed (via Guerrero's Twitter account):
That rise to fame started in November, when he scored undoubtedly his biggest win—a unanimous decision victory over Andre Berto:
Now Guerrero is in line for a fight of unimaginable magnitude. Mayweather is the pound-for-pound champ, and if The Ghost can somehow put a blemish on Money's perfect record, he would instantly enter boxing lore.
He would become a legend.
That would be a historically fast meteoric rise to the top, and it's just one of the many reasons I'll be watching the highly anticipated battle on Saturday night.
