Mayweather vs. Guerrero Highlights: Watch Video of Money Sustaining Perfection
May 6th 2013, 11:00

Floyd Mayweather maintained perfection on Saturday with an impressive unanimous win over Robert Guerrero.

Now sporting a 44-0 record, Mayweather is on the brink of closing out his career with a goose egg in the loss column. In an article by Jon Saraceno of USA Todayonly five fights are left for Money:

Fight fans who admire Mayweather's peerless ring rhythm won't be able to enjoy him long, and the champion reiterated that after his victory.

"I've got five more fights and I'm through with the sport,'' said Mayweather.

So, with Money on the back nine of his career, let's rewind and check out the victory highlights against Guerrero.

The Weigh-In

The weigh-in is always one of the more exciting pre-fight moments in boxing.

The microphone announcer definitely helps add to the suspense and adrenaline.

Slow Motion Highlights

Here is a much clearer view of how Mayweather was able to win. As opposed to body blocking Guerrero's attacks, Money constantly used the best block in combat sports...don't be there. In turn, the champ counteracted perfectly and landed some clean punches to the face.

Because of this consistency by Mayweather, the end result was not surprising.

Guerrero Gets Bashed in Round 8

Money smacks Guerrero with a strong right hook to the face. Not only did Mayweather set it up nicely, but this was a reoccurring theme throughout the match.

Final Round Highlights

Here we see Mayweather's impressive reactionary skills on another level.

It's the final round and each fighter should be totally gassed at this point. Instead, Mayweather simply dodges and maneuvers with ease to avoid big hits. His reactions and ability to counterattack at this stage in the fight are why Money is literally money every time the bell rings.

What's Next

As for Mayweather, what's next? Let's get the perspective from Alfred "Big Nasty" Konuwa of Bleacher Report.

Regardless of Mayweather's next slate of opponents, it's impossible to argue with perfection.

He still possesses exceptional instincts for anticipating punches, as well as the talent to generate quick power. It's no wonder 26 of his 44 victories are by knockout. Factor in smooth footwork and body control when defending and Mayweather proved to not miss a beat on Saturday.

Given that he's 36 years old, Money's consistency is just a rarity within the sport that must be appreciated.
