Juan Carlos Sanchez (15-1-1, 8 KO) will defend his IBF super-flyweight title on Saturday night against Roberto Domingo Sosa (24-0, 14 KO). Sanchez is widely regarded as the best super-flyweight in the world and one of the best fighters in the smaller weight classes.

At just 22 years old, Sanchez is looking to make a statement in his first fight in Las Vegas. Champions of the lower weight classes are often ignored, despite their fighting prowess.
An impressive performance on Saturday against Sosa would be a step in the right direction for Sanchez. This is a fight seemingly arranged to be a showcase for the Mexican. To take his career to the next level, he needs to win impressively.
In the Ring
Sanchez possesses explosive power, which could be a hindrance in his quest for popularity. He is, however, a very skilled and quick southpaw who will out-box most of his opponents.
At 5'8.5", Sanchez has excellent height for his division and room to move up in weight in the future. He uses his length well with a solid jab and has an accurate punch from distance. Take a look at Sanchez easily out-boxing Juan Alberto Rosas.

Almost no information is available on Sosa. I was able to find fights on YouTube, but his height and reach specifics aren't available.
The scarceness of Sosa's information only further proves his obscurity. Needless to say, this is a huge fight for him. In many ways, it could be seen as a bigger deal for him than it is for Sanchez.
Sosa is undefeated, but at 28 years old, he's yet to make his mark in the sport. This very well could be his only chance.
In the Ring
Sosa appears to be at least three inches shorter than Sanchez, which will likely be an issue. If you watch the video below, you will recognize Sosa's aggressiveness and solid punching power.
But his tendency to throw looping punches stands out as well.
Sosa stopped Roberto Santos de Jesus in the first round of the video below, but will face a much more talented fighter in Sanchez.
Prediction
Sosa looks to be a fairly decent counterpuncher who could test Sanchez's chin, but ultimately the champion will be too big and athletic for the undefeated challenger.
This should be an easy unanimous decision win for Sanchez.
