Donaire's wife OK after saving child Jul 6th 2013, 21:14, by Dan Rafael Former three-division titlist Nonito Donaire, one of boxing’s best fighters pound-for-pound, and his wife Rachel Donaire got a bit more excitement than they bargained for while celebrating on July 4th. While spending time with friends, the young son of one of the friends was swimming when he disappeared under the water, Donaire tweeted. “Rachel didn't hesitate to jump in to save the child but injured herself in the process,” he tweeted.
