Gomez wins by TKO in NYC Aug 20th 2013, 03:03, by Michael Woods Eddie Gomez of the Bronx improved to 15-0 (10 KOs) as he won a stoppage victory over Steve Upsher Chambers in a junior middleweight contest at the Best Buy Theater in Manhattan on Monday night. Chambers pumped the jab on the shorter Gomez in the first. Gomez had him in serious trouble toward the end of the round, but the ref, Steve Smoger, known for being slow with the hook, let Chambers continue. Chambers looked a tad groggy in the second but defended well enough to hang around.
