Floyd "Money" Mayweather may be 36 years old, but age isn't going to be a factor in his fight against Canelo Alvarez on Saturday.
It's been an incredibly successful career for Mayweather up to this point.
He's a perfect 44-0 with 26 knockouts, and he's the undisputed greatest boxer in the world. He will be facing another undefeated in Alvarez, who has gone 42-0-1 over his career at just 23 years old.
For those worried about the age difference between the two fighters, don't be.
Money has still been fighting at an incredibly high level at this point in his career. In his last five fights, he has taken down the likes of Robert Guerrero, Victor Ortiz and Shane Mosley. He's had no problem going the distance, winning by unanimous decision in all but one of those fights, with the other being a fourth-round knockout over Ortiz.
Looking at Floyd's last fight against Guerrero, it's easy to see that he's not slowing down.
According to Compubox, Mayweather was able to land 41 percent of his punches, including 60 percent of his power shots. Meanwhile, Guerrero failed to land 20 percent of his punches, settling for more than 80 fewer punches landed.
Defense certainly hasn't been an issue recently for Mayweather.
He uses his incredible speed and intelligence in the ring to make his opponents miss, and then he comes back with shots of his own. In fact, during his fight against Ortiz in 2011, Ortiz failed to register a single jab in the four rounds the two fought in (h/t BoxingScene.com).
Mayweather has been able to continue fighting at such a high level because he is such a relentless guy in the gym. He constantly trains to keep his body in shape, and his workouts are intense.

Kevin Iole from Yahoo Sports explained just how hard Money works during his training in a recent article, saying:
Mayweather frequently pushes himself beyond normal limits, as if he were an 18-year-old hoping to catch the eye of the local promoter and not the biggest star in boxing on the homestretch of his career.
"One of the things that amazes me all the time about Floyd is that he works and trains like he's never made a dime in boxing," said Leonard Ellerbe, the fighter's close confidant and the CEO of Mayweather Promotions. "It's incredible to see a man who has made a couple of hundred million dollars in this business pushing himself the way he does. He's a perfectionist.
There's a reason that Mayweather is still the world's best boxer at 36 years old. He continually trains and stays in shape and it pays off in the ring.
Alvarez may be 16 years younger, but it will be Money who will look like the younger fighter once this one is over on Saturday night.
