Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-1-1, 32 KO) has had lots of ups and downs recently. A former WBC Middleweight Champion, Chavez Jr. was thoroughly embarrassed by Sergio Martinez last September. He was suspended for marijuana use after the fight, and many are questioning his conditioning for this fight.  Brian Vera (23-6, 14 KO) doesn't have the prettiest record, but he's rugged, tough and knows that this is his big shot at making a name for himself. The 31-year-old Texan has won four straight bouts, and he holds victories over former world champions Sergio Mora and Serhiy Dzinziruk.
