Mayweather vs. Canelo Press Conference: Watch Live Stream of Pre-Fight Event
Sep 11th 2013, 18:58, by Kevin McRae

After months of hype, hope and anticipation, the attention of the entire sports world will be focused squarely on boxing this Saturday night, as we finally answer the burning question: Who is “The One”?

Can Floyd Mayweather add another notch to an already Hall of Fame career? Or will Saul “Canelo” Alvarez turn the boxing world on its head by knocking off its top star?

Wednesday the two men will meet for the final press conference before their historic fight, and you can all but be sure there will be fireworks.

Where: KA Theatre; MGM Grand. Las Vegas, Nev.

When: 1 p.m. PST/4 p.m. EST

During their massive press tour earlier this summer, the fighters were extremely respectful, and they seemed reluctant to engage in the type of trash talk typical for a fight of this magnitude. But that'll all change Wednesday.

It’s fight week, and that’s a whole ‘nother world. You can expect the respect level to drop quicker than a boulder in the ocean and the trash talk to come fast and furious.

Mayweather is boxing's undisputed pound-for-pound king. In 17 years of professional boxing, he's faced, and beaten, the best the sport has to offer.

In all, there have been 43 men that have stepped through the ropes brimming with confidence that they would be the one to silence the brash—some would say arrogant—king, but all have walked out of the ring dejected and defeated.

But a new challenger for the throne has emerged, and he casts a very dark shadow over Mayweather’s reign.

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez—like Mayweather—is undefeated as a professional. He’s the biggest, strongest and most dangerous foe of Floyd’s illustrious career. His punching power is lethal, and he has every chance of walking out of the MGM Grand on Saturday night as not just the winner, but also the new face of the sport.

The fans and media are split on who will win the fight of the year, but luckily, we don’t have long to wait.

Join us Wednesday, as the fighters share the stage for one of the final times before stepping in the ring and deciding: Who is “The One”?
