His next bout promises to be the best of the year as Saul "Canelo" Alvarez attempts to become the first fighter to ruin Money May's unblemished record (44-0-0). While the spotlight is on these two boxers, there are a few other highly anticipated bouts scheduled before the night's main event. Mayweather doesn't need to throw more punches than his opponent to be effective. Instead, he relies on his devastating combos and taking advantage of his opponent's mistakes. There's no reason for this game plan to change on Saturday. If Money May keeps his balance and defends himself from Alvarez's powerful punches and quick jabs, he should be able to survive an early-round storm from Canelo and prolong the bout. He knows that a strength vs. strength kind of bout doesn't benefit him against the younger, more powerful Alvarez, which is why Mayweather will probably spend most of the first three or four rounds playing defense and counterpunching when possible.
