Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s opponents have a habit of insisting that they will be the first to blot his thus far perfect professional record, but all too often they sound as if they're trying to convince themselves as much as anyone who will listen. The one recent exception was Miguel Cotto, who is the personification of cool, calm self-confidence. Many of the rest -- from Oscar De La Hoya to Ricky Hatton to Victor Ortiz to Robert Guerrero -- seemed at times almost overwhelmed by the whole experience.
