Bradley vs. Marquez: When and Where to Watch Saturday's Big Fight
Oct 8th 2013, 17:34, by Donald Wood

When Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley (30-0-0, 12 KOs) squares off against “Dinamita” Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40 KOs) Saturday night in Las Vegas, the boxing world will be ready to see one of the most exciting fights in years.

With both men riding the wave of momentum since beating legendary champion Manny Pacquiao, each will battle for the chance to be considered one of the top fighters in the division and in the sport.

This pay-per-view event will be a wonderful showcase of age and experience taking on youth and unwavering confidence.

True boxing fans won’t want to miss this fight.

Where: Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas

When: Saturday, Oct. 12, at 9 p.m. ET

Watch:HBO PPV (US)/Sky Sports (UK)/Main Event PPV (AUS)

Marquez’s Key to Victory

There is no mistaking what kind of fighter Marquez has become in the latter years of his career. At 40 years old, the Mexican has morphed into a much more methodical fighter with his approach inside and outside of the ring.

The veteran comes into this fight in great shape after his monumental knockout victory over Pacquiao. Using his superior power and in-ring I.Q., Marquez will look to pick Bradley apart over the course of 12 rounds.

Marquez has been in the ring with the best and understands how to avoid speed. With Bradley possessing neither the speed of Mayweather nor the power of Manny, Marquez will win this fight if he sticks to him game plan.

Bradley’s Key to Victory

While Marquez has the clear advantage in the experience department, Bradley is far superior in speed and aggressiveness. As unimpressive as totaling 12 career knockouts might sound, the 30-year-old American wins his fights with the quantity of shots he lands.

Bradley doesn’t possess the elite power needed to knock Marquez out with one punch, but over the course of a fight, he can do serious damage by landing the same shots over and over again due to his speed.

It is clear from his previous fights that Marquez is slowing as a fighter, and if Bradley can stick and move all fight, he will be able to limit his challenger’s power and increase his chances of stealing the decision victory.

Prediction: Bradley wins via split decision

As much as Marquez’s power could be the ultimate difference in this matchup, Bradley’s youth and speed will be too much for the Mexican star. With Marquez constantly off balance, expect the American star to continue his undefeated streak.
