Dereck Chisora has fired a warning shot at Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko.
The British heavyweight believes he is just two wins away from facing either of the Ukrainian brothers and will enter the ring with one of them in the next year, as reported by ESPN (comments NSFW):
I've got so much up my sleeve for next time they may not even pay me by the time we leave.
I'm not going there to get paid, I'm going there to fuck them up - they hate me and want to hang me.
Chisora was comfortably outpointed by Vitali during their Feb. 2012 clash in Munich, but that hasn’t stopped "Del Boy" from doing all he can to secure another shot at the iconic duo.
The 29-year-old lost to David Haye in the fight after his clash with Vitali, but since then he has strung a hat-trick of wins together on home soil.
TKO victories against Hector Alfredo Avila, Malik Scott and Edmund Gerber followed the Haye loss, giving Chisora significant momentum heading into his battle with Switzerland’s Arnold Gjergjaj on Nov. 30, a bout reported by The Independent.
Much like his British counterparts Haye and Tyson Fury, Chisora is the type of boxer to make a nuisance of himself when vying for fights against the big guns.
The buildup to his clash with Vitali was riddled with controversy and landed the London-based brawler plenty of headlines.
He was fined £32,000 for slapping the WBC heavyweight champion during the weigh-in and received a four-week ban after brawling with Haye in the post-fight press conference.
Chisora must focus on an unbeaten Gjergjaj before getting ahead of himself. The Swiss fighter has won all of his 22 professional fights and is not a man to be taken lightly.
Although Gjergjaj has only fought once outside Switzerland, per The Independent's report, his visit to London’s Copper Box Arena should top Chisora’s list of priorities.
One mistake, and those dreams of facing the Klitschko's will be gone forever.
