The junior welterweight fight between titleholder Mike Alvarado, a Denver native, and Russian challenger Ruslan Provodnikov, who meet Saturday night (HBO, 9:45 ET/PT) at the 1stBank Center in nearby Broomfield, Colo., sold out on Friday night, according to promoter Top Rank. The sellout of 7,012 means a donation in that amount will be made by Alvarado and Top Rank to the Salvation Army for its emergency disaster services serving Colorado.
