Interim middleweight titlist Martin Murray, who dropped world champ Sergio Martinez while challenging him in his Argentina homecoming fight in April but lost a tight decision, will return on Dec. 11. Murray announced that he will head to Sydney, Australia to defend his belt against Australia's Garth Wood, best known for splitting a pair of fights with Anthony Mundine. Murray was supposed to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in 2012 in the United States and has also been a preferred opponent for titleholder Gennady Golovkin, but ongoing visa problems have prevented Murray from being able to fight in the U.
