Gennady Golovkin vs. Curtis Stevens: Live Round-by-Round Results and Analysis
Nov 3rd 2013, 00:01, by Kevin McRae

It's fight night, and we hope you'll join us for all the live blow-by-blow action as WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin defends his title against power-punching challenger Curtis Stevens on Saturday night.

Golovkin (27-0, 24 KO) burst onto the scene last year, and he's already been labeled the baddest man in boxing. He slings bricks in the ring, and his devastating punching power has led him to 14 consecutive knockout victories. The rest of the top middleweights seem to have little interest in facing him, and he's looking to continue his express ride to the top with a win tonight.

Stevens (25-3, 18 KO) was a decorated amateur champion who was considered an elite prospect when he turned pro. He's encountered many ups and downs since, but after taking two years off from the sport, he has returned as a middleweight with a fresh approach and commitment. He's the most powerful opponent of Golovkin's career and has refused to buy into the mystique of his opponent.

Before the big main event, we will be treated to an entertaining undercard featuring some of the bigger boys in the sport.

In the co-feature, former interim WBO cruiserweight champion Ola Afolabi (19-3-4, 9 KO) will take on Lukasz Janik (26-1, 14 KO) for the IBO Cruiserweight Championship.

Before that, the heavyweights will be on display, as two undefeated contenders—Magomed Abdusalamov (18-0, 18 KO) and Mike Perez (19-0, 12 KO)—will look to make names for themselves at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Stay tuned to us here at Bleacher Report for all your live round-by-round coverage. You can watch the telecast on HBO beginning at 10 p.m. ET./7 p.m. PT.
