Jean Pascal vs. Lucian Bute: Live Round-by-Round Results and Highlights Jan 19th 2014, 01:59, by Kevin McRae It's fight night, fans, and boy does it feel good to say that after more than a month without a big fight.  We hope you'll join us for our live coverage of Saturday night's big card from the Bell Centre in Montreal. In the main event, Jean Pascal meets Lucian Bute in a crossroads battle for the NABF Light Heavyweight Championship. Pascal (28-2-1, 17 KO) is a former WBC and The Ring Magazine light heavyweight champion, but he's been limited in recent years due to a series of injuries. He's only fought twice—against low-level opposition—since dropping his titles to Bernard Hopkins in 2011. Bute (31-1, 24 KO) is a former champion in his own right—at super middleweight—and was once considered one of the most dangerous fighters north of 160 pounds. But he's been out of the ring for more than a year, and in his last two fights, he was blasted by Carl Froch and seemed to lack confidence in a win over Denis Grachev. Both fighters badly need this win to stay relevant in the light heavyweight mix. In the opening contest, Mike Perez (20-0, 12 KO) will look to continue his rise up the heavyweight ranks and put the specter of his victory over Magomed Abdusalamov behind him when he takes on Carlos Takam (29-1, 23 KO).
