Pattersons lead '14 NY HOF class Jan 22nd 2014, 21:25, by Dan Rafael The father-son combination of the late two-time heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson and his son, former junior featherweight and junior lightweight titlist Tracy Harris Patterson, were among those elected to the New York State Boxing Hall of Fame this week. Other living boxers being inducted as part of the third class include former welterweight titlist Billy Backus of Canastota, former featherweight titlist Kevin Kelley of Queens, former featherweight titlist Juan LaPorte of Brooklyn, former heavyweight contender Gerry Cooney of Huntington, former middleweight contender Mustafa Hamsho of Brooklyn and Glen Cove's Howard Davis Jr.
