Manny Pacquiao: 3 Fighters Who Pac-Man Must Consider for His Next Bout
Dec 27th 2012, 15:49

Manny Pacquiao has plenty of worthy opponents for his next fight if he chooses not to retire after his loss earlier this month to Juan Manuel Marquez.

Obviously, Floyd Mayweather is the most logical opponent for Pac-Man, but this fight doesn't seem like a real possibility at the moment, which is really unfortunate for boxing fans.

Let's look at three fighters Pacquiao must consider for his next bout.

Timothy Bradley Jr.

Pacquiao has fought several opponents more than once in his career, and if there's one person he should fight again, it's Timothy Bradley Jr.

These two fighters gave fans a great bout in June, when Pac-Man surprisingly lost. Many fans actually scored the fight in favor of Pacquiao.

Having a second bout with Bradley to avenge his defeat from June and prove he's the better fighter right now would be a wise decision for Pacquiao.

Juan Manuel Marquez

There's no reason for Pacquiao and Marquez to be opposed to a fifth fight between each other. Why not take their rivalry to an epic fifth bout?

The fights have been immensely popular, the fans love them, and they have been really exciting bouts to watch.

Pacquiao is now 2-1-1 against the Mexican fighter in his career, and may want to avenge his defeat from December 8 at some point in 2013.

Another Pacquiao versus Marquez fight wouldn't be the ideal matchup for Pac-Man in 2013, but it would be a better alternative to a possible retirement.

Brandon Rios

One of the most interesting opponents for Pacquiao is Brandon Rios, who is one of the rising stars in the sport of boxing and has not faced a top-tier fighter that can take his career to the next level yet.

Rios is currently 31-0-1, and most recently defeated Mike Alvarado in October at the Home Depot Center in California.

Rios is one of the most talented pound-for-pound fighters on the planet right now, and is ready for his first major challenge against an opponent of Pacquiao's caliber.

Pacquiao versus Rios would have the potential to be the best fight of 2013. It would certainly be an incredibly entertaining bout.
