The interest in Manny Pacquiao’s bout with Juan Manuel Marquez is heating up as fight night draws nearer, as is the betting action.
Pacquiao is the clear favorite to win, but due to the trouble he has had with Marquez in his previous three fights, many will take their chances with the 39-year-old Mexican if given favorable odds.
While fans will be gambling that the fight is entertaining enough to justify shelling out the pay-per-view fee, others will have more invested in the fight.

It is wholly unsurprising that Pacquiao is once again the favorite.
He is one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the sport today, and while Marquez presents him with a difficult matchups, Pacquiao is in a different class as a fighter.
The gap has narrowed over the past week, as Abac Cordero of Philstar.com (via Yahoo! Sports) notes that on November 26, Pacquiao was at -350 and Marquez was at +250.
However, even with these adjustments, betting on Marquez would not be advisable. The payout has actually become less lucrative, and he is still a long shot to come out with a victory.
Over/Under 10.5 Rounds
Over: -250
Under: +190
These lines have also shifted over the past week, but still present an easy decision to make.
Cordero notes that the lines last week put the over bet at -300 and the under at +220. Again, the payout for both has dipped, but there has always been one clear choice for this wager.
All three of Marquez and Pacquiao’s fights have gone the distance. Pac-Man is the fighter with superior power, but he has not ended a bout early since 2009.
There will be no knockouts in this fight, and betters should avoid the under. Those taking the over will be the only ones making money on Saturday night.
