One of the most anticipated title unification fights in the last few years is upon us.
Canelo Alvarez (41-0-1, 30 KOs) and Austin Trout (26-0-0, 14 KOs) will square off in South Texas on Saturday night with the 154-pound World Boxing Council title on the line.
The 22-year-old Alvarez will look to not only keep his undefeated streak alive, but also prove that his rise to boxing fame is no fluke as he takes on the most decorated fighter of his career in the 27-year-old Trout.
Scheduled for 10 p.m. ET at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, and to be broadcasted on Showtime, this bout between two rising stars could have major implications both within the 154-pound division and the sport itself.
