May 4 is shaping up to be the undisputed fight of the year when Floyd Mayweather and Robert Guerrero face off in the ring at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
You won't want to miss out on the action, as two of the best boxers in the world show down on the biggest stage.
Guerrero, or "The Ghost" as he's also known by, will be a tough matchup for "Money May." Mayweather hasn't stepped in the ring since spending two months in jail last summer, while Guerrero has been taking down top competition.
But don't discount the undefeated Mayweather, who comes in as a huge favorite to nobody's surprise.
Check out where you can catch coverage of Mayweather-Guerrero below.
Where: MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas
When: Saturday, May 4, at 9 p.m. ET
Watch: Showtime
The Ghost may be coming in as a big-time underdog, but you couldn't tell from the way he's dominated headlines in the weeks leading up to the fight. According to Jeff Faraudo of Mercury News, Guerrero had some choice words about Mayweather's past year.
Being a whole year layoff, he's going to feel the punches different. God put him in front of me for a reason and I'm going to beat him. Floyd Mayweather having a year off and being in jail, it takes a toll on you. No matter what you do, you do have a little ring rust.
Guerrero is, obviously, not backing down.
Mayweather, on the other hand, isn't lacking in the confidence department, either. Referring to himself in the third person, Money May gave Guerrero something to think about according to ESPN.
No one has a blueprint in how to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. All 43 opponents had a gameplan, all 43 opponents came up short. No-one has found a way to break the Mayweather code.
I don't think the layoff will hurt me. I've faced every style, so it's not hard for me to make adjustments.
Despite Mayweather's dominance over the span of his career, it has to be concerning to his fanbase that he's taken so much time off from the ring. The 36-year-old isn't too aged to compete at an elite level in the ring, but at that age, time off takes a toll on you.
At the same time, Guerrero has never faced a boxer of Mayweather's credentials and overall skill. So even if Money May isn't at his best, it may or may not become apparent based on how The Ghost boxes.
There's no telling what all of this talk will conclude in, but it's safe to say one of these fighters will be eating his words as he nurses a beaten body.
Here's to hoping we see a spectacle of a fight before that.
