Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez Will Fight for a Solid Gold WBC Belt Sep 10th 2013, 23:42, by Tristan Thornburgh Floyd Mayweather's reported $41.5 million guaranteed purse for his upcoming fight against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is the highest in boxing history, but now the stakes appear to have been raised even higher for both boxers. The WBC belt given to this Saturday's winner is made of seven pounds of solid gold. It was unveiled at a recent press event. Per Kevin Iole of Yahoo!
