NEW YORK -- Two prospects engaged in a step-up scrap, and Eddie Gomez of the Bronx got the better of it at Barclays Center on Thursday evening. Gomez beat Daquan Arnett in a rematch of an amateur tussle the two youngsters had almost a decade ago. Gomez, who came in with 15-0 mark, used an edge in hand speed, volume and power to nab a unanimous decision over ten rounds on a Golden Boy card. The scores were 98-91, 97-92, 97-92 for the victor, who sent the loser to the mat in Round 7 off a right stunner and a left hook to the body.
