Boxing: What Time Does Carl Froch vs. George Groves Start?
Nov 23rd 2013, 12:51, by Christopher Heathman

Carl Froch and George Groves will finally go head-to-head in an all-British world title contest held at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester.

After a war of words at the pre-fight press conference and at the weigh-ins, where they had to be pulled apart, it is almost time for both men to step into the ring and face each other to see who is the better boxer.

Both men made the 168lbs Super-Middleweight limit, with 36-year-old Froch weighing in slightly heavier at 11st 13lbs, while Groves tipped the scales at 11st 12lbs.

So what time will Froch and Groves be walking out to the ring?

The programme itself will start at 6 p.m. with an under-card which also includes a WBA Super-Bantamweight title fight with Scott Quigg defending his title against Diego Silva.

Froch vs. Groves is scheduled to take place by 11 p.m. with the entrances expected to take place between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Where to watch?

UK viewers will need to order the event on Sky Box Office, details of which can be found on their website.

In the U.S. Froch vs. Groves can be watched on AWE, with a stream also available on awetv.com from 3 p.m. EST.

This all-British affair will also be available in Canada on Fight Network with the event kicking off at 1 p.m. ET. The main event involving Froch and Groves is expected to take place at 5:45 p.m.

Froch is defending both his WBA and IBF Super-Middleweight titles, which he won in respective bouts with Lucian Bute and Mikkel Kessler. The three-time world champion is on a three-fight winning streak since his lop-sided loss to the undefeated Andre Ward, and a win over Groves could set up a rematch after the American won his recent bout over Edwin Rodriguez last weekend.

The challenger, Groves, is undefeated and was made Froch's mandatory opponent by the IBF after his TKO victory over Noe Gonzalez Alcoba on the undercard of Froch vs. Kessler back in May.
